Sony TV - KV-L34SN11 - Vert. amp. Problem. |
|
|
Hi There, this is a heavy mother...
Sony TV - KV-L34SN11 Came in with
bottom 4 inches picture foldover / reduced vert. size.
I resoldered the Vert. Amp. IC, and replaced a few Caps.
Still has half an inch missing on the bottom, when the set warms
up the vert. size increases a bit and it's fine. Was hoping if anyone
knows which are the critical caps to replace. The set still faults a
bit.
Cheers.

When the set is cooled down, use an ESR meter, and in a few minutes you
should be able to find the bad caps. The main decoupler caps, the feedback
cap, and any of the decoupler caps, can cause this type of effect, depending
on the combination of them. The hard way to find this, is to sub every cap
in the vertical area until you get the right one.

Hi Jerry, have already done that, the problem is that the caps are not
always
in the area of the Vertical amp. circuit, I have come across sets that have
them
miles away from the output circuit.
