Why do you not use only wireless alarm systems ? |

Why do you not use only wireless alarm systems?
Because wireless is Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) sensitive and
NOTHING can avoid / prevent that.
Even worse, it don't warn you when the system is "muzzled and
completely dead".
If it was really that good (as some tend to let you believe) everybody
would sugest and use it instead of being harassed with wires to be put
all around.

I use fully wireless systems on all my apartment rental systems. If
installed by an experience professional, wireless systems are extremely
reliable, and cost effective.

Ditto. I have wireless installs in penthouse levels of apt bldgs that have
more RF on the roof than some radio stations. Why do we humour this nutbar?

The reason that we humour him is simple. If we make him made and he goes
away then some other nutbar will take his place; and then who knows what
we'll get. (yes it could be worse)

There is no doubt that a fully wireless system will be more prone to radio
interference than fully wired system. Whether it makes the wireless system
less reliable is a different question. I do not know enough about their
design to judge how well are they protected against deliberate interference
from a highly technically knowledgeable thief equipped with a suitable
transmitting equipment. What would, for example happen, if he succeeded in
disrupting a radio connection between the bellbox and the rest of the
system. Would it automatically sound alarm? If yes it is fie by me, if not I
would not be impressed.
