I'm trying to work on this monitor without a service manual. What capacitor usually goes out that causes Horz. deflection problems. On underscan the monitor has a hour glass shape or pin cushion look to it. In normal scan the top and bottom corners edges are curled and wavy. Any one else seen this?

I am going to take a wild guess, I have seen and repaired CONRAC monitors but i allways found my problem in the main power supply. Leaky caps there give away to hi ripple causing this problem. If you have a scope look it . Otherwise someone can help you better. Good luck.
