Need relay recommendations

--Trying to drive something with a Stamp; looking for a relay that
can handle, say, 12v and maybe 2A. I know Parallax sells a board with
relays on it, but holy guacamole, they want $300.- for it!! Can someone
suggest a part number and where to look for just the realay?

i would suggest using an optical isolator

type relay.
use something like a 2N2222 to drive it
from your stamp to make sure you don't over
do it.
just an idea.
you can use a conventional relay also with
the use of the 2N2222, go to your local
radio shaft and pick up a low voltage coil
relay., they have them in 5 volt coils with
moderate contactor ratings.
use the 2N2222 to drive it.
P.S.
shunt the coil with a diode to absorb
the flyback emf.
