Hi,
I would like to have a VGA output in my new design. This seems to be quite complicated task. I have found some projects at http://www.tinyvga.com/ which are capable of only b&w text mode output with poor quality... not something that I would need. It looks like cheap MCUs with <100 MIPS are not capable of doing this task. Any ideas, hints? FPGA design is too complicated for me.
I have also found a complete VGA solution at http://www.microvga.com/ - but this is "a future product". It should be complete user interface module with both VGA (and TV) output and keyboard input... but not yet for sale. Does anybody has experience with it? Or any other module, chip, ... ? Their preview image looks pretty good:
