Someone know the pricing model for OrCAD schematic and PCB package?

Is it more expensive than PADS2004 suite? (PADS065)

Have to decide which schematic/pcb package to choose and so far got
only an offer from PADS2004 package which is under 4000 Euros.

Or is there a better software for doing BGA FPGA projects?

Have a look at Pulsonix:

http://www.pulsonix.com

It has some BGA FPGAs in the library.

Have a look at Pulsonix:

http://www.pulsonix.com

It has some BGA FPGAs in the library.

Hmm...pricing close to PADS...and looks too much like a
Windows program (Protel ;o)

I'll check the demo...

Where are you? In North America the best price is for a suite known as
"OrCAD Unison PCB" which contains Capture (schematic capture), Layout (PCB
design) and the Spectra autorouter, plus extras like Gerbtool and Intellicad
which are normally bundled with Layout. The price is USD 6000.

Separately Capture is USD 1800 and Layout is USD 6250 so the suite seems to
make sense.

Beware: yearly maintenance is about 15% of the purchase price, and seems to
be calculated on the full, undiscounted price of the apps, not any special
discount price you might have got.
