Hi,

Forgive me here as I know basically nothing about electronics. I'm moving overseas in a couple of months and I'm looking into my options for power converters. I have a laptop, external hdd, printer, xbox360 etc. that I plan on using (in Switzerland).

I know that there are simple "plug-converters" out there, and then there are "transformers". If I am correct what I need is a transformer... If so, I'm wondering if transformers have changed at all since I remember them years ago - like bricks. And also, would I have to have a transformer for each device I plan on using.

Thanks for any advice you can give me on this!

The only rquirement is power output. for a small transformer you may shave but not run your TV as an example.They sell these things all over. ALL you need is one with to top power capacity but you if have money splurge. CHECK YOUR POWER REQUIREMENT fist then buy and further more are you sure that you don't have a switch to change fron 120vac to 220v ac somewhere mine does. check again.
