You realy need to lift one side and go at it. In circuit you cannot check it.

Well what you can do is check the voltage on the resistor if it's in a circuit.

If the resistor is open, then almost all the voltage source should go across that resistor.

Simple ohm's law. V=IR
When the resistors open, infinite or high resistance appears causing the voltage of the resistor to go up.

how can you possibly determine what is the voltage at any node. well i guess you do it your way but i will do it my way. simple logic.
