how to know IR LED of remote is damage


i have digital satellite reciever remote

i want procedure to know ir led is good or not by analog meter

you can measure resistance of ir led.it may be about 200-300ohm.if resistanse less,then 1000ohm you can make tester for ir led.it will include
ir reciever and other elements.
