Hiya all.. Smile

Ok..I made a basic +5V DC power supply on a normal breadboard...and wanted to do the simulation on Orcad...had just a bit of trouble though.. Smile

1) For the bridge Diode...its using the IN4007 diode...which I couldn't find in the diode library for the software...I couldn't also find the IN4001 diode...any alternatives?

2) I can't get the 7805 Regulator IC used in the power supply design aswell..dunno if there are ICs available in Orcad...the other alternative I found was to make the more "complicated" design of the 7805 IC from diodes,resistances..etc..which takes TONS of time..so any ideas??

Btw...I'm using OrCad 9.1.. Smile

Thx alot guys.. Smile

Cheers

They may be not there for a reason a diode is a passive component so is the 7805 regulator diodes drop is 0.6-7 and the 7805 all it needs is a minimumn input voltage. And that you can get from specs.
