I am looking for a 12 volt switch that is activated by a transmitter. Not a transmitter with buttons like on a keyless entry system on a car. The switch is activated when the transmitter is within a certain proximity and is not deactivated until the transmitter is not around any longer. Does such a switch and transmitter exist? Is it possible to make one?

no around like out of sight or disabled. well anyhow devices like that are all over the net home depot an cheapest harbor frieght from china good luck.
