hi, i have a question:

i've just got this electronic device from eBay, i decided to try it, so it's turned off conected to a DC adaptor (9DC, 300mA), i connect it to the outlet and there's a short circuit with sparks coming from the outlet, the lights in my house turned off, then i immediatly got it out, and the lights turned on again.

this means the device connected to the adaptor is now damaged? i can't turn it on since i don't have another adaptor with the same specifications. Thanks.

wow to dimm the lights in a house is pretty drastic most houses are wired for 15 amps or more depends where located. i would throw this adapter as far as i can toss it. if you do it again maybe next time the insulation on the wires in the circuit could be burned and realy cause a big short. the adapter only costs a few dollars the wireing in the house thousends. be wise and toss it away.
