I 've connecting everyhting up and nothing happens. My transformer just have a buzzing sound. The spark gap won't even fire. Just the sound from the transformer. Is anything do with the capacitor??? Or spark gap?

Can somebody help me. Please.

the buzzing sound on a tranformer usualy means two things 1 is running with excessive load 2 the iron core is loosely constructed. I have no idea what your coil looks like and how and what kind of excitation you apply so i cannot help further.

If i connected the spark gap and capacitor in parallel. then, the terminals are connected to the 10 kV transformer. There should be sparks fires off the spark gap, right?

You get a spark when the air ionize and voltage is present. I if put the cap across the spark gap the cap will absorb the energy and you will see nothing poor cap is shorted now with 10kv across. It could be that i don't understand ypur problem can you post your schematic in xxx.jpg form?

make it xxxxx.jpg and it will work. a coil store energy in the form os magnetic flux when the fiel colapses it generate voltage. voltage if hi enough will ionize the air creating a spark that you can see just like walking on a carpet and touching a door knob, bY FRICTION you on the dry carpet you body is eleveted to hi voltage and when you touch the knob or before you get the spark. that is realy a capacitor discharge but the principle is the same.
