Those of you using hot-air SMD rework stations: what temperature have you
found to be best, for tin-lead solder?

If it makes a difference, I'm mainly interested in smaller components such
as SOIC-8 and 0805 Rs and Cs, rather than big multipin IC packages.

Have you looked at the resources at Howards Electronics? They have
some videos demonstrating SMD rework and lots of articles on the
