Hi..
My old Toshiba protege 7020's LCD display is all white. And the onl
way to get the display to work again is to apply some pressure from th
top and cycle through Fn-F5. It used to get fixed by tapping the displa
lid but now its at a point where I have to apply constant pressure.
I do not have a service manual to see how to disassemble the lid t
check for any loose connections at the hinge. Any help on how to fi
this poblem wouldbe much appreciated.

I've researched that one before, the most common problem is that the 3.3v
that drives the video is missing, I've heard of a fix that uses a simple
trans and a 3.3v zienier to replace the voltage, but never tried it myself.
An internet search should find you more prudent info and pictures of the
repair on similar machine.
