Hello everyone,
Maybe someone can shed some insight into how i should go about checking varios CMOS IC's out of circuit to know which one is the culprit. I am repairing a wheelchair that uses various cmos chips to operate the wheels from two 12v batteries. For example CD4069, MC14052, TC4040, MC14007, MC14070, CD4011, 8729, CA339E, LM324N OP AMP. I am an electronics tech but a little rusty because ive been in med school the last couple of years. Thanks, Victor M. Giraud

the cost of all of these devices if replaced will not phase you one bit. checking them out will cost time and money. but then again that is my opinion. to check some of these devices you need a meter and a road map of internal make up. and since they are cmos anything can blow them up a scratch thu your hair will cerntainly do it. so now you got a choice hope not to blow up a good device or changing them all. when you do rule no:1 ground yourself. NASA will not even allow you to carry one of these device in your hand unless is protected for static. am i serious ?you bit.
