Hey, I have a 19" NEC multisync 95f. The roblem stated out as it fickering of and on every so often, it was not the image taht would fliker but the power to it (the power light would go on and off) and you coukld hear a relay click. Then it got a bit worse to were it would flicker off and come back on with just a grey screen, this was usually remidied with a good slap to the side of the monitor. Now however the monitor is stuck in a cycle of constant flickering. Oh and also when the monitor was working it showd what looked like magnetic distortion lines through the image. I opend it up thinking it might be a loose wire or a blown cap or something obvious and easily repaired. How ever all I found was that one of teh iron rings used to filter distrotion on the degousing coil had shatterd (I had herd that shatter when the monitor finally went and i was slapping it) and the only other thing i saw was on the CRT on the winding around teh neck the plastic that it looks like they pored on to hold them in place was cracke don one side (probublr from th erepided slapping) is this a problem??? anyway thanx for all help

you have poer supply problems and probably a bad cap look for bulge on caps and very hot components. your power supply is being detected as bad and relay do the clicking. found your trouble before it blows up
