Disabling Auto-off timed circuit on electronic organizers.. |
|
|
Would anyone know how to disable the auto-off function on most handheld electronic orginizars? I have many EL series Sharp orginizars and been trying to figure out how to disable the 7 min auto-off circuit to no resolve. I know of people that have done this by soldering a jumper wire from one part of the board to another, by doing this they bypass or disable the auto-off. I really need help trying to figure this out for a project I am involed in. Please, if anyone can help I would really appreciate any feedback or ideas. Thanks!

| I don't know why you care to do that. If it does not shutoff the battery will drain unconvenaintly. That is the reason for auto-off when not in use. Capisci |

My intention is to modify the original functions! |

Neon, Thank you for your comment but obviously I don't want it to do what it was made to do. That is the whole point. I need it to stay on. I'm not worried about battery life. My intention is to modify the original functions.

| You must understand that i am not familiar with your component. But if you must then must take apart locate the battery and you are familiar with circuitry then you can disable the timer involved or bypass the timer with a on-off switch. it is not going to be easy. |
