I have an Hitachi TV that bleeds red on some channels. The model number
reveals nothing since it's a made in and sold in canada one.

Also, some of the remote buttons like menu and others act like if there
other buttons and the sound distorts a bit.

It's newer than this(I think), and my 1979 electrohome(this one without
remote) doesn't do this.

It was OK for a long time, but after being unplugged for a long time, it
's doing this. Also, some channels are looking orange with a lot of
bleeding, while some are OK. Also, since a couple of years before it has
been unplugged, when any vibrations occure, the picture bumps.

As Lance Dyer replied.... most likely a worn or bad CRT. You did not post
the model number so I can determine the age of the television.... ALWAYS
POST A MODEL NUMBER..... but if the set is more than 10 years old then the
CRT is certainly suspect.
Back off on the color intensity and contrast a bit and the problem should
mostly go away.
Regarding the remote.... install NEW batteries.... if the problem persists,
replace the remote.

Hitachi Canada MT-2752, there's an assembly code or date marked M88.

CRT is certainly suspect.

Doesn't work on the "faulty" channels. If I play with the antenna I

sometimes get a good picture.

Changing the battery makes no difference. Crystal has often been a

source of problems in the remote . . . Will try changing it(An other
time, the last one had too short pins replaced by wires.

As for the bumping picture, do you know what it could be?
Poor solder joint? Loose wire?

And for the distortion in sound?

Note the TV caps have NEVER been replaced(The TV have never been opened
too).
