Why would one choose a computer with one type of processor over the other?

Well note that a Celeron *is* a Pentium first. Just one with fewer 'features'
than the latest 'bleeding edge' full spec Pentium.
The Celeron is the 'L/GL' version whereas the full blown Pentium is the GT
model and is priced accordingly.
Choices might involve cost, power consumption ( esp if mobile - in favour of
Celeron ), whether or not you need that 'bleeding edge' performance or just
need a simple workhorse, motherboard support and any special offers from your
PC vendor that make or the other briefly more attractive. To name a few.

It always depends upon what you plan on using your computer for...If all you |
do is web based searches and emailing....almost anything will do...If you
are into heavy graphics/cad stuff and file transfers....you will want a
higher end system....google around...you will figure it out
eventually....and good luck....Ross |
