Problems with ls7166 can anyone help? |

Hi
i try to use the 24bit counter chip from lsi/csi and have big problems
with them.
The datasheet can be found here: http://www.lsicsi.com/pdfs/LS7166.pdf
I use the example Programming from this page:
http://www.usdigital.com/products/ls7166/ls7166app.shtml
with a beck microcontroler (www.beck-ipc.com).
My Problems:
1.) The count-inputs are completly ignored by the chip
2.) The LoadLatch input only works as LoadPresent
3.) every read-cycle the counter increment once (automatic)
can anyone help here?
