Hi all,
been doing some low power experiments with a surplus
gunnplexer {10.5Ghz @ 10mW}.
Q: From the limited information I've come across, is it possible to
focus microwaves? ie: a parallel beam and/or focused point?
I've seen descriptions of what seem like, essentially, a series of
parallel sheets of thin (sheet) metal cut to what would look like a
profile of a lens.
Am I way off base here?
TIA!
B

You can make a lens that will work at X-band from paraffin.
Melt some in a curved-bottomed bowl. Remove when solidified.

Bell Labs called that type of lens an Acceleration Lens The signal

"appears" to travel faster
when between the plates

You can also build a lens by slowing the wave by using plastic or many
short pieces of wire
as in Yagi directors.

Have fun
