I'm considering replacing the uA739 in an old Crown D60 power amp. (Long
story...) First, though, I'd like to understand what I'm replacing - in
particular, so as to get the compensation right.

Does anyone have a datasheet, or at the very least a pinout (for DIP14
package), they could send my way? I don't have any old Fairchild books,
unfortunately.

If you have one and can email it, my first name is walterh and my last name
is cafewalter.com. Or post to a.b.s.e. and let me know. Thanks a bunch!

Subs for the uA739 (as found in Crown D-xxx series) : LM1303, SN76131N
pin for pin and no changes required.

uA 739 is Obsolete semiconductor But substitute is ECG725 or NTE725 .Specs
are:
Dual low noise OP Amp.14 pin DIP
pin 1=output A 2=o/p lag A 3&4=input lag A 5=Non-inv input A
6=inv input A 7=V-
pin8=inv-input B 9= non-inv inputB 10&11 = input lag B 12=o/p lag B
13=Output B 14=V+

Hope this info helps

Both seemingly also obsolete and no data sheets found... I thought I might
find the LM1303 in my 1980 National databook, but no luck there.

Well it's in my 1976 Linear databook

Tried taking a photo of the (2) pages but the results of low res camera
and yellowing pages were crap.

Way back when, when the 1980 book came out, I chucked my '76 book. Ever
since then I've been kicking myself...

SEE alt.binaries.schematics.electronic for the attachments.

I've attached the first two pages with relevant data. There are two
more pages with graphs, but since the pages in the ol' book are turning
brown, it's hard to get them to look acceptable, requiring a lotta time
in Photoshop to clean them up and adjust the levels, etc. So if you
really need those, well, twist my arm. ;-)

Watson, it is MUCH appreciated!

If you are willing, you could just post (or email to me) the remaining pages
with graphs, and I can do the Photoshop work myself. Address is walterh at
cafewalter dot com. I can probably live without 'em, but it would be nice
to preserve them for posterity.
