The U4101 (TEA2262) shuts down after three tries. Pin 8 of U4101 goes up to 2.5 volts which shuts IC down. Have data sheet, and pin 8 should be 0 volts unless detection of overvoltage or overcurrent conditions exist, etc. IC is OK, and the Swithing transisor is OK (Q4101).

There is no short on the B+ line, nor is HOT shorted and the spltter is OK.

Have an identical unit and have compared resistance values (U4101) and checks out ok.

I may have a resisor changing value. Something is causing Pin 8 to reach 2.5 volts. The data sheet gives no troubleshooting guidelines

Problems with this SMPS are generally the replacement of capacitors in that circuit, but this problem has me stumped. Capacitors 2.2uf, ect are OK.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
