What programing language do microcontrollers use, specifically PICs? Im new to the field of electronics, just started classes at ITT Tech.

Microcontrollers use assembly language, the very lowest level.

Humans can use the assembly or a higher language.
C is very popular.
BASIC is easy to learn (Pick Basic Pro)
FORTH is also simple.

on a final note the language that you will need is dictated by applications on a higher lever by i defenetely agree with ron sipson those are simple and easy to learn. of course no matter what machine language 0101010 is the fastest no intrepatation time.
