Welding Control Circuit |
|
|
I have a Lincoln 300 TIG power supply that uses an external pot to establish remote welding power. Regardless of winding range switch setting the external circuit causes response from nominal '0' or low value to the '100%' or high value for that range.
I'd like to find a circuit (actual assembled device) that will allow this circuit to be timed for high and low states. I'd like to be able to set the resistance of the external control circuit in these two states.
I'd like to adjust the frequency of the main oscillation, the time high and time low and the % of the external resistance in each state by a series of switches and knobs but I don't need any readouts for values.
Of course, I'd very much like to establish a commercial relationship with a qualified trading partner, and to trade US dollars for the working device resulting from the design.
Any entrepreneurially inclined members of this board who would like to help me "convert" a Lincoln 300/300 into a Hobart CyberTIG are welcomed.

Looking for schematics |
|
|
neon,
thanks for the suggestion, I'm looking for copies of a schematic or service manual so I can reproduce the control circuits' schematic.
This isn't a currently supported Lincoln welder so this may take a few days- then I'll try to post or attach a schematic
Thanks for your guidance.

schematics of TIG 300/300 |
|
|
neon,
I have a schematic or two for the machine but don't see how to attach them here.
Other boards have that feature as a Reply Window control, not sure where to post *.tif images of schematics. I'd email them to anyone that is interested.
Cheers,
Kevin Morin

neon,
Would send in email directly but you don't have email listed, in profile. Attachment Controls in this Reply Window are not activated for my user name- or maybe not for this topic/thread?
