i have a polaroid pdv 0700 poratable dvd player. i dont have an power adpater cord so then i went on a search to find a universal one. with the universal one... i GUESS the voltage was too higH then wat is recommend and which burnt it. ...... with that being said ... IS MY DVD PLAYER FIXABLE? THANKS!!

considering most dvd players have small component that are unreplaceable, i would have to say that you fried a dvd player... call the manufactur of the dvd player and see if they will give you a new one. Most will send replacement parts and/or give a new dvd player.

can you fix it i dare say no. me i could but wouild no way the stuff is so cheap this days that it comes to discard and buy and cheaper that way too. going back to the manufacture sure if it is in warranty windows. but by the time you pay back and forth postage it maybe a good idea to replace it witha new and better machine.
