I am trying to programm a PIC 12F683. The prorammer is a JDM type on a serial port and Win pic 800 is the software. The program is detecting the programmer but not the chip. It tells me unknown. When I verify I get am error msg

ERROR ->verifying address 0x000000
verified : 0x3000 Read : 0x0000

from all the info I have read and gotten from the programmer the chip is in the correct spot and the software setting are correct.

Any help would be great
