Hello,

I am a complete electronics novice needing help with an automotive application. I would like to create a potentiometer that can go from 0 to 1.1 volts at nominal (signal) amperage. I suspect that I need about .9 volts to fool a transmission control system I am working on, and will need to build a device to provide the optimum voltage.

Thanks for your help.

0volts means a short in essence. a potentiometer is fine. but before the hurrah you must know the loading on the pot. wiper. since it is i imagine on a car then a low resisance pot. will e disirable. assume a 10 ohm load on the wiper then it becomes a source of 110ma . your best bet is to tell us what is the 1.1 volt load. otherwise you are going to get all kind of sugestion without any real solutions
