My compaq fs7600 monitor is going on the blink. The picture goes from normal to about a 2 inch band in the middle of the screen. The only way I know to correct it is by whacking the monitor with my hand. My presario system is about a year old.

Any help is appreciated before I have to fork out more money for a new monitor.

I WOULD LOOK INTO THE HI VOLTAGE. NOW THERE IS DANGER THERE BE CAREFULL
