Hi All,
I am new to this group and my interest is repairing
pcb's and monitors for video games.

I am looking to aquire a Boardmaster 4000 IC tester
(must be working and complete)
I will pay cash or maybe PX a Fluke 9010a micro system troubleshooter.

also i would like to hear from anyone who has had experience
of using the boardmaster.

Thanks in advance Pete (invadar)

As you probably know the Boardmaster 4000 is discontiuned. But ABI makes
newer models and at least they are still in business. They have two compact
testers one digital and one analog. They are the same as the B&K models
just repackaged. CapeElectronics is one of the few importers of the ABI
stuff. I saw a broken 4000 just sell on ebay. They seem rare.

We have been using ABI test equipment for years and we actually have that rare ABI Boardmaster 4000 and its still working well and in use. I would suggest purchasing ABI's latest pcb test equipment including the latest circuitmaster 4000M (mixed signal circuit analyser VI curves). Capetronics Inc can supply you with ABI test equipment if you live in the USA. If you still want the Boardmaster 4000 keep your eye on Ebay but remember that there is no support for it if something goes wrong.

I first must admit I don't even know what is a board master is. But it seems to me that that can be repaired just using a scope. With a scope anything can be repaired no matter how complex. This tester tells you that the board is bad it cannot possibly tell you how bad. And if good it cannot tells how good. Invest into a scope .
