First of all, am I even posting this to the right forum?

Basically I have really no idea of how to wire speakers. I have just learned some basics as far as ohms and how to calculate them. Here's my question, I work for a store that has moved in to a location to used to be a restraunt and already have installed a drop ceiling speaker system. I want to take advantage of this setup but we currently use a mini or shelf system. Here's what I have figured out so far.

The system:

Philips Mini System 10watt RMS total @ 6ohms total

The speakers:

8ohm 25v or 70v drivers with variable wattages

The wiring:

4 speakers on a series/parallel wiring scheme running if calculated right, at 8ohms.

The system should be giving each speaker about 1.8 watts if I did the calculation right.

From what I understand these speakers were intended for use on a 70volt speaker system. But can I use my mini system to power these as long as I dont go below 6 ohms?

I have one channel hooked up at the moment and its running all 4 speakers but I have to turn the volume pretty high up, which I expected due to the low wattage. The volume is loud enough, I don't really need it any louder, but will the system be ok to run day after day? And if it is safe, which wattage speaker wire should I use on the speaker itself? There is a chart on the back of the speaker showing the wattages of each wire at either 25volts or 70volts. Right now I have it wired on an orange wire which is 1watt on the 70volt side. It was wired on the blue wire which is 1watt on 25volt or 1/8 on 70volt. Thanks a bunch for any and all input!
