Most batteries have a warning telling you not to recharge or put in fire, that
part makes sense. But what about the warning telling you to not put in
backwards? I tried putting my batteries in backwards in a flashlight today and
it still lights up ... is there anything wrong with that?

Turn it off immediately! It's emitting anti-light! You're depleting
conventional light from the universe! The better flashlights are designed so
the contacts won't touch if the batteries are in backwards, thus keeping us
all from being plunged into eternal darkness. Egad, man, I hope we all
learned something today!
