Talk to the companies that make the *particular* TYPE of ferrithe you
think you need.
But i strongly suggest you buy a rod of various types and actually
test them in the environment that the final rod antenna is going to be
used in, and at the frequency(ies) of interest as well.
You may find that a different ferrite type will work better.
And, assuming you find the best type to use, and also you get the
powder, i have rather nasty questions to ask: How are you going to
compress the powder, what type(s) of binders are you going to use, and
how are you going to properly heat treat it?
I suggest that you have the ferrite company do the work for you.

Hi

In principle, ferrite powder has to be sintered before it gets its
final properties. For such an application requiring a low effective
permeability, I think it would be acceptable to build your large rod
out of small elements "I" shaped f.e. glued together.
