Hiya here's a juicy help question for a change.

I've just fitted 2 speed domes and a new dm sprite 2.
Apparently now it works with RS 422 by the way of
Bus A connections and Bus B.

I've wired a beldon 2 pair screened between the recorder
and camera and address the two cameras address 1 and 2.

They go in to inputs 1 and 2 on the recorder.
I've made sure the telemetry is set to sensormatic on 1 and 2.

The cameras power up and self test and sit there waiting for
communication.

When I move the stick on the keyboard I get a communications
problem message and no movement and the text from the dome
is still dispayed.

The beldon connections are as follows;
TX+ to Bus A +
TX- to Bus A -
RX+ to Bus B+
RX- to Bus B-

I've tried swithing the TX and RX around too with no success.
Any pointers Pro's ???

What was the cause of the problem?

To be honest, don't know.
The Rx+ and Rx- should have been in Bus A
although I did swap them to check.

I revisited - remade the connections and it
worked this time.

Oh well, at least we know that it works on 422
now without the need for any converters or
such like!

Hi Peter
After years struggling with CCTV data of various types over fibre, wireless,
wired and via data converters it's nice when you get a bit of luck.
Best wishes John.
