Hi,

Soon I will be needing to store a large selection of chips for a while and
am wondering whats the best way to store them, they will vary from BGA's and
QFP's to DIP's.
I was looking at using a standard "raaco" 45 drawer storage cabinet.

Any help would be great, thanks

Depends..are you ISO?

All the cabinets /drawers have to be that anti-stat black , anti-stat
straps, etc.
Are you in a humid area ? (coastal) can probably get away with plain
el-cheapo cabinets/drawers.
Cold/dry mid-west winters? I'd get the best anti-stat available!
Myself? I'd use the el-cheapo metal cabinet/plastic drawers & line
the bottoms with that black anti-stat foam/use those tiny anti-stat
bags ( cheap from these guys http://www.shipperssupply.com/) & make
sure there's a "bit" of humidity in the working area.
G'Luck!
