Fisher TV, The image doesn't span on the screen. |
|
|
Hi,
I own a Fisher TV that doesn't span the image on the screen, when you
turn it on, the image is concentrated in a line on the center of the
screen. Everything else works fine, what's the problem with it?
Greetings

Horizontal line? Check for voltage at vertical deflection IC. If
absent, trace back. Possible open or bad resistor in power supply. I'm
a beginner too, but I think the voltage is about 24V. If missing,
desolder IC and recheck voltage supply. If present, IC could be bad
dragging down supply voltage. Good luck. |

Vertical deflection failure. Check for the proper voltages in the deflection
amplifier, especially around the output devices. Also check for proper
vertical drive to the deflection amplifier.
Using the set with the brightness turned up, and having no vertical
deflection can result in the line being burnt in to the screen. After the
set is serviced, this is going to be permanent.
Considering the way you asked the question, my advice would be to get the
set properly serviced by a service centre.

Yes it's a horizontal line. I'll check to see what can i find.
Thanks for you reply! |

Thanks for the reply Jerry G. I also was curious to know what could
happen if it was used that way.

Yeah I guess I'll do that, I'm very new in the world of repairs but I
wanted to know what the trouble could be to know more about this
subject, and maybe soon I'll start to "fix" some things.
Thanks for your advice.
Greetings. |
