Hello all,

I'm looking for an IC, which monitors battery life for 3 x AA alkaline
batteries.

I'm building a robot using PIC16F628 and micro dual serial motor
controller.

A 5V regulator is used to power electronic logic and the 3xAA are used
to power the motors.

I've searched the Internet and found ICs by MAXIM and others but they
all seem to support lead acid and nicad batteries.

Any advice is greatly appreciated

Cheers

Just put an A/D on the batteries. That will give you a pretty
good indication of how much energy is left in the batteries.

You can probably find graphs on manufactureres web sites.
