Help sourcing obsolete Sony ICs |
|
|
I need two of these:
CXP822P24Q-1-006
to repair a dead DAT recorder.
Can anyone suggest a source?
Thank you.

Doesn't Sony have them any more? I've always had good results ordering
parts from them. If not, it's unlikely that you'll find any other than
by taking them out of another DAT recorder. |

Sony in Japan says they don't.
I was hoping someone in the US or EU might know where there are some.
Thanks

You can try Andrews Electronics (http://www.andrewselectronics.com/).
They're one of the biggest Sony parts suppliers in the Western US.
Only problem, when I worked for them years ago, they wouldn't really
sell retail, only to dealers and repairers. But they might have
changed their policy.
