My Sony CD/DVD Player DVP-NC600 no longer plays music CDs. It still plays DVD movies, but I get "no disc" error when I try to play music CDs. Any help would be great.

sony is not one of my favorit brand they go to great l;enght to make sure that you will need another player when you buy sony.you might search the internet for the latest installable software downloaded it and install it on your player. or junk it and buy another brand for $30.

The unit is part of a surround system and not a computer. It is a 5 disk carousel DVD player. The unit plays DVDs fine, but no longer CDs.
