Using a 6 volt sealed lead acid battery to drive a small high rpm motor. I need to reduce the rpm's to at least half. Is there a way to do this with a resistor or potentiometer?? Thanks

yes you may add a resistor in series to limit the power but it will be just a gross waste of power. there is a regulator LM117 the can control the power down to 1.2v min or practicaly 0 current . I hve no idea of the power envolved so the help is limited your fault.
