Ultra compact AAA battery holders? |
|
|
I have a project that requires a 2X AAA battery holder that barely
takes up more room than the two batteries alone.
This common type:
http://rocky.digikey.com/WebLib/Memory%20Protection%20Devices/Web%20Data/BH2AAAW.pdf
is still too big, at 1/2" high, and 2" long.
The holder still needs to maintain a tight grip on the batteries, but
allow easy toolless changes.
Any ideas before I start building them from scratch?

Farnell have PCB mounted holders (actually its a single spring part - you
use one for each end). I've only bought 'em in AA, but I think they come in
AAA too....
