Hi:

My name is Tim Williams. I'm a middle school shop teacher and NO electronics whiz by any means. I'm trying to find someone who would be willing to help me develop a Infrared LED activated Start and Infrared LED activated stop timer for a two lane co2 race car track. I've found a few schematics for older versions on line but am looking to design something that I could use with one of the online circuit board makers so I could have more than one board made. If anyone out there sees this and thinks this would be easy to do please stop by and help me. Thanks for your time everyone.

It would be helpful if we knew what you want, do you want the timers on the cars or do you wish the timers on the track? And what fraction of time do you wish to be used on these timers and the maximum time required for them? And also, how long of a track are you talking about? I'm sure someone here would be able to design something.
Mike
