hi all Smile

i need to make a very simple buzzer, i got a ready made one but it sounds very bad, high and low frequency.

there is something called ceramic sounder, it is the metal plate with a ceramic plate compacted on it, how can i make a simple circuit to produce very high frequencyyyy to oscilate that sounder or any other piezo buzzer.

i mean the sound like the one in the electronic appliances or some cheap calculators or small alarms.

many thanks Smile

You can buy those things very cheap. A buzzer usualy is nothing else then a cheap relay where the power for it comes thru closed contacts when energized it disconnect and repeat the cycle. If it is too fast then add a big cap across. LM555 timer can achieve the same but then you need more parts like speaker and so forth.I cannot help you more then that because i do not know your power availability.

thanks neon Smile
i know almost everything about the regular buzzer, but this device produces a very high sound with low frequency and low tone using a speaker.
i want to make another uses the ceramic speaker like this

righ now i have this

it has an oscillator inside, but i need to make my own very high oscillator circuit.

if you have a circuit to produce a frequency much more than the ne555 can produce please share it Wink
i have tryed the ne555 but i don't get good result.
i can use power supplys from 5v to 12v no problem.

many thanks mate

Well there are devices called sonarlert 1 1/4 " round panel mount and it produce 95 db of sound good enough to hear 200 feet in open ground with no problem. 120 db that is pain and not recomended it can damage your ears pernamentky so be carefull what you wish for for. The lm555 can source and sink 300 ma a100 ohm speaker on the output can give plenty of sound. it is a matter of power. still sonalert is the way to go of course it beeps works from 12v to 28v

now change the frequency of oscillation to your liking. Below 5kc and above 500hz should be loud.
