I am trying to make a switch that is activated when an input voltage is at one voltage (say 3 volts) and turns off at another voltage (say 11 volts). I only want things to happen at those two voltages. The voltage is going to sweep from 3 to 11 while the switch is on and I want that to have no effect.

How do I do this?

To clearify:

When the voltage slowly drops to 3 volts I want to turn something on with a switch. While the thing is on, the voltage will slowly change until it is shutoff at 11 volts by the switch. I would also like to be able to fine tune the on/off points.

If I can buy something that will do this please advise though I would prefer to build if possible. Thank you

Need a comparator lm 139,239,339,lm2901,lm3302 then lm136,236,336 2.5 volts ref. your choice one each. I know what you signal looks like does it run on a power supply? you will nedd a stable source of power. after you get the parts all you need to do setup the comparator windows by choosing voltages dividers from the power to match your trig points. the 2.5v is there to guarantee a stable source to compare to. If you need more help then that feel free to ask.
