hello experts,
i would like to ask on how to solve the filter capacitor to know the correct
value for a given ckt.
for example, in a gain amplifier which is non-inverting. how can i solve
for the value of a capacitor if the positive and negative supply of the
operational amplifier is a 15vdc, having an input at non-inverting of 1mV.

i hope you can help me, i already know the function of the capacitor
in a supply, but i need to know how to solve for the value...

many thanks

Now the same capacitor is an active components into an amplifier. How does behave it depends more on the amps application filter then the cap itself. maybe someones else can expand for you if he has the time.

sir neon, thanks for the reply, but you mean the capacitor can be not needed in the circuit what i said..

thankd again

I read it again and i beleive what you are talking about is the -+ voltage filter cap is that right? there is no equation for it it is more like a rule of thumb .1 to .o1 ufd and then there is the type of cap ceramic are good a big old 1000ufd across would do no good the inductance will kill the benefits at hi freq. and to sum up usualy an amplifier has aound -90 DB rejection from that end.
