CyberHome DVD Repair Help Needed |
|
|
I have a CyberHome DVD (little one that my son uses in the car). He dropped it. When we try to play it, it reads that the device is open and not closed.
It will have the closed icon up for a few moments and then go to open. It will not read any DVDs. We have push on it, banged it, and tried to shut the fastener firmly and have had no luck.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas about how to fix this?

I had thought this was a fourm to help people. Not bash them. Excuse me for my stupidity.
I was just trying to find help to fix this for my boy so he could watch his Veggie Tale DVD's that he got for his birthday.
And no, we did not bang it to death.
I am glad to have provided you with a good laugh today. Ha, Ha, Ha.
Since I could get no help here, I have taken it to a repair shop.
Thank you for your assistance and understanding Neon. I notice your are a regular poster here.

well you decided to take personal but looks what it looks to me you want help after you banged again and again. A word to the wise IF IS NOT BROKEN DON'T FIX IT. And if it is broken DON'T BANG SOME MORE. TAKE CARE.

As I responded to your post previously, I mischaracterized, we did not "banged [it] again and again" as you stated.
And how am I supposed to take your response? You offered no real advice on how to fix it. Oh wait, you did offer to help drive a car over it.
Your word to the wise has come a little too late. The issue is moot. We are having it rebuilt. This is the last time I use this forum board for help. |
