guys i know very little about electronics.but,
I have a 6volt toy motor made by solorbots (gm7).
I need a circuit to drive this motor in forward
for about 2 seconds,the stop(or turn off)for about
4seconds,then drive in reverse for about 2 seconds,
then stop(or turn off)for about 4 seconds.an
keep repeating cycle.A forward an reversing motion
with time delays.i will pay for your time an supplies. ASAP CONTACT INFO 504-343-2408 GERALL or worldfamousd@gmail.com

I looked at the solarbotics website. Thanks. It's always fun to find a new website with "cool" hobby stuff to amuse me. The driver for your motor could be done with a handful of simple parts; I'd use a half-bridge of transistors, a timer and some simple logic to perform the reverse, forward or wait intervals.
Is the 4 seconds to be very accurate? If a quarter second of error is OK the timer can be cheap. _________________ Darrell - SENTEK Engineering |

I'm wondering what the OP wants to use this for? If it's for something
that's position independant then no problem. However if it's to drive
something like a robot and he should be aware that running the motor
forwards for two seconds then back for two seconds is unlikely to result in
the "robot" returning to it's starting point (No matter how accurately you
measure the two seconds).

| the timing can be done acuratly with an lm555 and repeadatly or if $ is plenty use a lm555 and a counter cd4017 for refinement. |
