Hi-
I learn by playing around with stuff and would like to find an
application that will allow me to create a circuit with say... an led,
then run the circuit and see the LED turn on, off, whatever the circuit
does.
I have found one application called Edison by Tina, but it doesn't have
some of the ICs that I would be interested in, I am looking for
something a little more "professional".
My search has not been an easy one so far, can't find any apps that do
this. Does anyone here know of anything?

CircuitMaker can... maybe Multisim (formerly Electronics Workbench) can?
You can find old versions of Electronics Workbench at programs like
Kazaa or eMule.
