Sharp VCR VC-A588U, No Cylinder Spin |
|
|
Hi,
I have a Sharp VCR, model VC-A588U, in my shop.
The problem is the cylinder (video heads) won't spin.
It will "load" a cassette, then "unload" it (not eject) due
to the cylinder not spinning. I don't have a SM for this unit.
Do you have a record (data base) of this problem on this
VCR or similar model?
Thanks in advance, Brad

any jerking? if so, suspect power supply or associated caps.
check you can move the drum freely. maybe it is catching on something
- i have seen this happen.
if totally dead, maybe loose connection, drum IC or ic protector |
